The mission of the Board of Deacons is one of sympathy and service to the congregation and community at-large, after the example of Jesus Christ. Below is a description of the services the deacons provide at First Presbyterian Church of Warminster. If you have additional questions about any of these programs, have a need that we can assistance with, or interest in helping with this mission, please contact us!
Food Assistance
Using the Deacon's Fund, food donations from church members and help from our local business partners, we are able to provide ongoing food assistance to those in need, often on a weekly basis.
We also provide extensive holiday food distributions to families at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter so that everyone can enjoy the holidays.

Medical Equipment
The Deacons maintain a robust inventory of medical assistance aids for members and guests of the church that have special needs when attending church.
This assistance includes hearing devices integrated with the church service, first aid stations in the church, other medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc.) to use while at church, and no-cost medical equipment loans to those in need of equipment at home.
Visitation and Outreach
The Deacons provide personal care to all members of the church that need special attention, especially those who are temporarily shut-in, or permanently homebound.
This care includes ongoing personal visit, and cards/calls to members to make sure they know the church is thinking about them, and in-home communion for those who are otherwise unable to receive the sacrament.
We Care
The Deacons provide special recognition and care for all members of the church and community to let them know we're always here for them.
This includes helping those in the military with phone cards to keep in touch, those in college with gift cards to use while they manage their finances and higher learning, and other care and recognition to those in need.
